Desmos will read the expression being typed, and then play a graph used a pitched audio representation. Use Command F5 for the voice option, and Option + T for the audio trace. The weather wasn’t the best, but we had a fabulous time exploring the falls and walking to the confluence of the Mississippi River and Minnehaha Creek.įavorite New Desmos Calculator Feature: Desmos now has audio capabilities for visually impaired and blind students. I hope they become some of your favorites too! Grab a drink, there are a lot □įavorite Pre-TMC Outing: After arrival, I adventured to the Minnehaha Falls with a small group. I can’t possibly recap everything I took away from TMC16, but here are some of my favorite takeaways. The people and sessions at TMC invigorate my passions and spirit and convince me that I can conquer anything in the upcoming school year. But I also NEED to spend four days in person with my MTBoS family. I like to spend time in the summer with my family and friends go to the beach read a book for fun nap go to the drive-in, etc. Having just returned from my 4th Twitter Math Camp (TMC) experience in Minneapolis, I feel the need even more to book my entire summer plans around this camp. Get out your calendars and mark them now! Twitter Math Camp 2017 is being held from July 27th-30th at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia. Please feel free to use this structure if it works for you, but make sure to adapt for your own personality/time constraints, and most importantly, find out what your learners want/need to know! One hour or afternoon is simply not enough to learn all of Desmos, but it’s definitely a start! Unfortunately, this is usually the phase that gets cut out due to time constraints. When there’s time, I walk participants through the basics of building an activity, and hopefully provide time for them to try making one with a partner. I show teachers how to bookmark activities they find using the search engine, and then how to copy/edit them so they have a starting point. Every single teacher has always found something they could potentially use that week. It’s also during this phase that I finally show them the search engine on the teacher site and ask them to look up a topic they are teaching within the next day or two and see what they can find. I bring up past activities from my Desmos history and show participants some student work. We talk about teacher moves that I made, implementation strategies, possible implementation challenges, and really analyze the teacher dashboard. After playing one activity, we stop and analyze the activity with our teacher hats on. This phase goes hand in hand with “Let’s Play,” and often, they overlap during my PD sessions. It’s always a struggle to make them stop playing so we can learn something else. These activities are obviously super fun, but also a middle ground for a range of middle and high school teachers in the same room. Some of my favorite activities to choose are Polygraph: Parabolas and Marbleslides: Lines. I stop at selective checkpoints to showcase various graphs or student answers from the teacher dashboard, talk about key vocab that I see being used, or to address any misconceptions I see, etc. I briefly explain the activity directions, give out the class code, and let them go to town. I choose a couple activities appropriate for the grade level of the participants, and we play! I tell participants to put on their student hats and imagine I am their teacher. Depending on time, you can also share the Desmos Scavenger Hunts and let participants work through them. But mostly, during this phase, I direct participants to Learn Desmos by finding a tutorial they are interested in and trying it out. I demonstrate basic calculator moves such as sliders, tables and regressions. In the intro, I share some Desmos logistics and explain/show the difference between the calculator and activities (briefly touch upon polygraph vs activity builder vs card sorts (future PD, yay!), etc). Several people have asked me for my PD plan, so here it is: This past year, I was given a few opportunities to run Desmos professional development for the teachers in my district, and in a few surrounding Massachusetts towns. It’s no surprise that I’m completely obsessed with Desmos and want to share it with teachers everywhere. The unit of account of the bitcoin system is the bitcoin. According to the University of Cambridge, bitcoin has emitted an estimated 200 million tonnes of carbon dioxide since its launch, or about 0.04% of all carbon dioxide released since 2009. Its proof-of-work algorithm for bitcoin mining is designed to be computationally difficult, which requires the consumption of increasing quantities of electricity, the generation of which has contributed to climate change. The environmental effects of bitcoin are substantial. Ukraine has accepted cryptocurrency donations to fund the resistance to the 2022 Russian invasion, and Iran has used bitcoin to bypass political sanctions.īitcoin has been described as an economic bubble by at least eight recipients of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. For example, El Salvador has adopted Bitcoin as legal tender, although use by merchants remains low. In contrast, a few governments have used bitcoin in some capacity. The Library of Congress reports that, as of November 2021, nine countries have fully banned bitcoin use, and a further forty-two have implicitly banned it. It is a compound of the words bit and coin. 1 The word "bitcoin" was defined in a white paper published on October 31, 2008. The currency began use in 2009, when its implementation was released as open-source software. The cryptocurrency was invented in 2008 by an unknown entity under the name Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin transactions are verified by network nodes through cryptography and recorded in a public distributed ledger called a blockchain. In this 7-pin trailer wiring diagram, most of the wire configuration is changed. *7-Pin Trailer Diagram for Traditional RV Blade The other colors remain the same for the other wires and their functionality as well. The red color has been changed to orange and black to grey. This 7-pin trailer wiring diagram shows that the colors of the wires have been changed for the reverse lights and battery source. *7-Pin Trailer Diagram for RV Blade with SAE Configuration The other wire functionalities and placements are similar to those in a 6-pin trailer diagram where white is for ground, green is for right, yellow is for left, brown is for tail lights, and blue is for electric brakes. In this 7-pin trailer wiring diagram, the red wire provides auxiliary power to the trailer while the black wires are shifted to indicate the reverse lights. *7-Pin Trailer Wiring Diagram with a Round Prong These different 7-pin trailer wiring diagrams are as follows. The 7-pin trailer diagram has three different variations depending on the type of connector in which the wiring configuration is also different. This connector provides additional electrical support for a 12-volt battery via the black wire and electrical breaks via the blue wire. It is used for brake control (mainly electric brakes) and are commonly used on campers, gooseneck trailers, and horse trailers. The 6-way connector helps establish a connection between the primary vehicle and the trailer. The black wire is an indicator for the +12v battery attached to the trailer-the other wires are in the same fashion as the previous trailer diagrams. The blue wire responsible for the hydraulic brakes is now used for electric brakes. In this 6-pin trailer wiring diagram, as it can be observed, there are two new wire positionings. So this wire also serves as the reverse light. The extra wire is connected with the backup lights that help disengage the hydraulic coupler of the trailer when the vehicle starts to reverse this turns off the brakes of the trailer. One pin is used for grounding the other commonly used are for indicating turns, breaks, and that the car is running. It is usually used by vehicles that use hydraulic or surge brakes. These are connected via the 5-Way connector.Ī 5-way connector is used to establish an electrical connection between the trailer and the primary vehicle. The last set of wires (yellow) leads to the left side to indicate the left signal. The fourth wire (blue) is the one that indicates when the brakes are applied. These are also connected to the side to ensure increased visibility. The third (brown) wire is the one that is responsible for the taillights. The second wire (green) to originate from the connector is responsible for the right signal. In this 5-pin trailer wiring diagram above, you can see that the first wire is the ground wire (white). Usually, light-duty trailers use this connector. The fourth wire (White), as shown in the diagram, is the ground wire. The 4-Way connector allows you to control the three essential light functions: the break, right turn, and left turn. They are all connected by a 4-way connector.Ĥ-Way connectors are the most basic connectors used for hooking up your trailer with the primary vehicle. The brown wire, which is responsible for handling the taillights, leads to both the light bulbs at the back, and the yellow wire runs back to the left to indicate a left turn. The green runs at the back to connect with the right turn. Trailer Wiring Diagram Īs you can observe from this 4-pin trailer wiring diagram, the white wire is connected to the ground. The different types of trailers are as follows: They are used for transporting goods, materials, boats, camping utilities, etc. The trailer has several applications depending on the user and what kind of services one might be looking for. The minimum output connector is the 4-Way connector, providing electrical output to the trailer's signals and ground and tail lights. To make the trailer’s electric output work, we use different connectors to ensure that depending on the outputs we require. The trailer is attached to the primary vehicle by the appropriate hitch. They can also be recreational vehicles depending on their type.Ī trailer is a separate extension vehicle that needs to be linked with the primary vehicle. A trailer is an unpowered vehicle and is supposed to be towed by another vehicle: SUVs, pickup trucks, or jeeps commonly tow trailers. In my case, I had some other virtual networks set-up on this PC from Oracle's VirtualBox (using Vagrant scripting). When trying to load the router's configuration page, I saw ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in Chrome, I could load all other pages from the internet, I could ping the router's IP, I could log in to the router's configuration page from other computers. I recently observed the same symptoms, and my solution isn't listed here, so in case this helps someone. It is way too much of a security risk and if you need to open ports instead of uPnP's automated method, do it manually and learn what this entails.Īlso, disable remote administration and set a strong admin password. I would strongly suggest to always disable uPnP as mligor has suggested. This may be at worst, a specific attacker, or otherwise anything of: some buggy process on any connected device, or some network connection type (overloading, bug, etc).Īs suggested, the router running out of RAM (and a bug in handling this condition) is a common problem, especially under heavy load.Īlso, check that there isn't some sort of firewall setting on the router (or even your PC) blocking your client IP from accessing the web interface. If not, it suggests that something is interfering when other connections (WAN, LAN, WiFi) are plugged-in/active. However, try some basic troubleshooting first:ĭisconnect the WAN-side cable (phone line or ethernet, assuming it is either of these).Īlso applies to LAN-side access: Make sure you access it with ethernet cable and isolate the router to just the one ethernet cable and client PC that you're trying to access the config page with.ĭo all this before booting the router to make sure the boot is 'clean'. We highly recommend changing your WiFi password to a stronger one as well, to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network. If it is one of those lovely TP-Link bugs, then all bets are off. After this step, the router admin console will sign you out.

For convenience in using the typical application diagrams, Tables 6C-1 and 6C-4 are reproduced in this Chapter as Tables 6H-3 and 6H-4, respectively.Ġ2 Procedures for establishing TTC zones vary with such conditions as road configuration, location of the work, work activity, duration of work, road user volumes, road vehicle mix (buses, trucks, cars, motorcycles, and bicycles), and road user speeds.Ġ3 In general, the procedures illustrated represent minimum solutions for the situations depicted. These treatments are found in two different typical applications, while a third typical application shows how to handle pedestrian crosswalk closures. For example, work at an intersection might present a near-side work zone for one street and a far-side work zone for the other street. In many instances, an appropriate TTC plan is achieved by combining features from various typical applications. While not every situation is addressed, the information illustrated can generally be adapted to a broad range of conditions.
